However it is only made available to Quebec-born residents of the province. The Counseil grants works in a unique way compared to other Canadian grant agencies. The Counseil first ensures that your project is not for profit.You must then find an active professional involved in music industry to act as your mentor during the time you are receiving funding. You will then periodically check in with the Counseil concerning the needs and progress of your project. If you are accepted you may receive thousands of dollars and even $500 monthly allowances for living expenses.
